I guess it could be worse. They could be basing the whole thing off a closed protocol, rather than Jabber. So while I’m not actively against the idea, I still have to say that I’m just not that excited by it. I’ll add it to Pidgin, and maybe use it here and there, but that’s it.
Still… I can’t shake this nagging feeling that it’s going to get the kind of installed base that Google still hasn’t been able to completely acquire with Gmail/Gtalk.
